Story #2: Creation of the world Part 1

Creation of the World (Part 1)

In the beginning there was Noinos (Nothing). Noinos was lonely and so he created Tagjo (Order), Qdnos (Magic), and Geanian (Chaos). By doing this however Noinos' power started to fade as the new ideas consumed space. With the remains of here powers she used a sword and split herself in half. From this came to existence the tow siblings Cita (Life) and her brother Dheunos (death).

Dheunos did not know what to do so he hid himself, trying to find his purpose. Cita however knew exactly what to do. She wanted to make things, so she went to see Qdnos. Qdnos had rapidly expanded after Noinos disappeared. He inhabited almost every crevice of the universe. And so Cita asked him "Qdnos, you are almost everything. Can I use some of you to make things."

Now Qdnos was as kind as he was large and felt bad for taking up everything. He said to Cita "Very well child. You can create things from my essence but I must be allowed to have say in what you design. For I do not wish to be part of the undesirable, nor to dwindle in power."

Cita agreed with these terms and started creating. She first used Qdnos to make the elements, Pawr (Fire), Woda (Water), Gergo (Wind), and Ondos (Earth). She Asked these first born children to form a world for the Primordials to call home, for until now they had only lived as thought. They obliged and made a Large land of perfection. But Cita was not happy, she wanted more. So she Formed life from herself and Qdnos. This brought Bhewtis (Nature) to the land. He then created trees and animals from the lands of the four elements.

With this Cita was happy for now, but Qdnos was not. He had not expected so much to be made using his essence. His power flowed through everything, every bear, tree, and rock. He was part of everything in existence and it was becoming to much. When Cita had made the elements everything was fine, but with life there was to much. New Primordials where forming all the time from life, each with a bit of him. Spring, Winter, Greed, Beauty, all of these, and more, came from the idea of life.

Qdnos knew that he had to act before his complete essence was destroyed. He however did not wish to break his agreement with Cita, in fear of upsetting her. Without many options Qdnos seaked out Dheunos. When he found the wandering thought he asked "Your sister is destroying me to make more. I am becoming everything and nothing. Can you save me?"

Dheunos looked at Qdnos and said "I have seen what my sister has done. Although she has made many lovely things they do start to suffer as time passes. I see only one way to help you is to relive these beings of their pain."

"How do you intend to do this" Qdnos inquired.

Dheunos sighed, "I must balance the scales."

With that Dheunos went in search of the four elements. He asked them to make another world and they did. This one was lacking in life but still looked fit for gods. Dheunos named this land the underworld for it sat bellow that of the Primordials.

"This land," he said to himself "Will be for those who I relieve of this world"

Qdnos however did not understand this. "Dheunos," He inquired "If these beings still exist then how will I get back myself from them?"

Dheunos nodded, "That is a very good question. The answer is that When they die I will relieve you from them and so you will get back your power"

Qdnos agreed with this. From that moment on Dheunos became Death, reliever of pain. His sister Cita however despised him for it. She hated that he was destroying what she had made. This hated remains until today. Dheunos however loves his sister dearly and sometimes makes exceptions to try and win her love back.

The Carter looked at the young man in the back of his wagon. He said with an astonished voice, "Where did you learn that story?"

The young mad smiled, "Well I am writing a guide to the world," He blushes, "And, well, I thought a good idea would be to add tales form all of the lands."

"And is there more to that one?" Asks the man

"Why yes! I haven't even gotten to the god yet."

The carter smiles, "Well lad, tell you what, finish this tale of the worlds creation and I'll tell you a tale of my own. It's about a raiding legend."

"Who? I already know about old Red arm and Tolphin iron leg. I doubt this will be one I don't know."

The man laughs, "His name is Bolbi pirate, The Scourge of one Sea"

"Never heard of him."

"Oh you will. He's the reason we're leaving from Hero's reach and not Highfold."

Story #1. The Scribe (The story begins)

The Scribe

In the crystal library sits a young scribe bent over a marble table, scribbling notes on a piece of parchment. The ink and notes layer over each other to make it almost unreadable. He  crumples the sheet up into a ball and throws it on the ground with a sigh. An elderly, bearded man, walks up behind him. He leans over him as he grabs for another piece.

“You know those don’t grow on trees Weldon?”

Weldon turns in his chair to look at the man.

“I know Titus, but I just don’t know what to write. I really hate having to write this paper.” He starts writing new ideas on the new sheet.

“But you need to or else your not…”

“I know!,” interrupts Weldon, “ I need it to be a real scribe. But everything has been written already. Legends, knowledge, myths, spells, secrets, even cookbooks!”

Titus stokes his grey beard slowly, thinking. He  chuckles a bit and looks down at the young lad.

“Ah, but there are no guides.” he says with a wink.

“Guides?”

“World guides.”, He explains with a smile on his face, “a guide to places of the world. Talking about the cultures, countries, myths, legends, and histories.”

The young man looks at him astonished, “But that would take years to write!”

“Well, you better get started”
